Track & Field Wraps Up at Brown Springtime Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Thomas College club track and field team completed their 2016-17 season at the Brown Springtime Invitational on Sunday on the campus of Brown University.

The Terriers competed with schools from all levels of Division I down to Division III with Brown, Northeastern, Providence, Brandeis, and Rhode Island.

Thomas' top finisher of the day was Brandon Monroe (Berkeley Heights, NJ) as he picked up a fifth place finish in the men's high jump at 1.88 meters.  Monroe also finished 13th in the long jump at 5.97 meters while teammate Eben Kittredge-Cram (Steep Falls, Maine) finished behind him at 5.45 meters.

In throws, Troy Worster (Mount Vernon, Maine) finished eighth in men's discuss at 33.47 meters while Reid Wallingford (Standish, Maine) finished tenth.

On the women's side, Haylee Patterson (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) and Megan Cousins (Clinton, Maine) threw to an eighth and ninth place in women's shot put at 8.26 and 7.02 meters.  Cousins finished eighth in discuss while Patterson came in second in javelin.
