Castine, Maine – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team (2-6, 2-1 NAC) played in their first conference road game this evening. Maine Maritime (3-3, 2-2 NAC) would shut down the Terriers' offensive attack winning 17-1.
The Mariners got on the board a minute and a half into the game and never looked back. Tom Houle, Andrew DiSalvo, and Christopher Keiley all scored three goals apiece in the game. DiSalvo also dished out five assists in the game.
The Terriers were outshot 32-8 as goalkeeper Jesse Morkeski made 15 saves in the loss. For the Mariners, Erik Milles made seven saves as both goalies played the entire game.
Thomas was unable to capitalize on their man-up opportunities going 0-6 in the game. The Terriers also had a rough night in the face off department only winning 4 of 21 face offs.
The Terriers will be back in action this Saturday, April 16, as they travel to Vermont to face Castleton for an 11 a.m. start.
