Men's Lax Falls in Opener

Portland, Maine – The Saint Joseph's Monks (3-1) defeated the Terriers (0-1), 13-3, in a non-conference men's lacrosse match up at Deering Memorial Stadium this evening. St. Joe's held a 7-1 lead heading into intermission and registered six unanswered markers in the second half before the Terriers capped the contest with a pair of scores in the final three minutes of play.

Freshmen Matt Quesada, Jeffrey Morse, and Bradley Stiles each accounted for the three Terrier goals.

Sophomore goalie, Jesse Morkeski made 13 saves against 26 shots in the loss.

Neither team was able to muster a man-up goal, as St. Joe's was 0-11 and Thomas went 0-6 in man advantage situations.

The Terriers will travel to Southern New Hampshire (0-2) this Saturday for a 4 p.m. match up with the Penmen.
