WATERVILLE, MAINE —Thomas College Director of Athletics Shanda Ness announced today the hiring of Cameron Creamer as Assistant Athletic Director of Communications.
Creamer will oversee all aspects of athletic communications and sports information for the department's 17 varsity and club sports, as well as game-day management of event staff.
"We are thrilled to have Cameron Creamer return to Thomas College as the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications," said Ness. "I have no doubt he will play an integral role in ensuring an exciting future for Thomas Athletics and our student-athlete experience."
Creamer returns to his alma mater following two years at Johnson State College in Vermont as Assistant Athletics Director for Internal and External Communications. While at Johnson, he was responsible for sports information coverage of the college's 14 varsity sports, as well as development and game-day management.
As an undergraduate student at Thomas, Creamer assisted with game-day operations and completed a communications internship within the department his junior year. He also served as a student assistant on the club ice hockey team for two seasons. Creamer served as Interim Director of Athletic Communications as a graduate student, before becoming Assistant Director of Athletic Communications once the position was filled.

Creamer graduated from Thomas in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management, then went on to earn his Master of Business Administration through Thomas' accelerated MBA program in 2016.
